Powerful example:
seeing the statue of liberty in NYC is to see the referent of many photos.
People find a photo moving depending on citizenships, personal
associations--avd experience. In originalPlanet of the Apes…[explain plot
if anyone hasn’t seen it] image is incredibly moving, works at many
levels.
Note that: the
humans the apes have conquered can’t talk (as the apes can and the main
human protagonist)….
