Intro. to Combinatorial Optimization

[ 12/7 ] No class Tuesday, December 8th. The final is on Thursday, December 10th at 9am in the normal classroom. Review session Tuesday from 3 to 4! Meet outside Lubrano on the 4th floor.

[ 11/24 ] Reminder: The Final is on Thursday, December 10th from 9am to 12pm in the same location as class.
Meinolf will be gone next week (after Thanksgiving) and Kevin will be giving 2 lectures: On Tuesday, solving LPs in polynomial time with the ellipsoid and interior point algorithms, and on Thursday local search. The Tuesday lecture contains material on the final, the Thursday lecture is useful for optimization and AI, but not on the final.

[ 10/27 ] Prof. Holger Hoos from UBC is giving a talk tomorrow (Wednesday, 10/28) at 12pm in CIT 368!

[ 10/26 ] Review session for the midterm today (10/26) from 3pm-4pm in Lubrano* hosted by the TAs.

[ 9/28 ] Homework 3 has been postponed for 1 week since there are several portions of it you have not yet learned (extreme points, basic feasible solutions). [ 9/26 ] We have all returned from CP and are working to get previous homeworks graded and handed back some time this week.

For those interested in myths about mathematical programming, here is the recently updated Myths and Counterexamples in Mathematical Programming by Harvey J. Greenberg.
