Lab & Midterm

Lab this week will be your chance to ask any questions you might have about the midterm (which is in class this Thursday). The lab is optional, so you don't need to come if don't have any questions.

HTML Problems

If you are having problems with HTML code that you copied and pasted from Word, try retyping all the quotes. Word will sometimes replace normal quotation marks with "smart quotes" (those curly ones). The quotes in your HTML files should be straight up and down, not curved to either side.

CSCI0020: Concepts and Challenges of Computer Science

Welcome new CSCI0020 students!


Professor Don Stanford

CSCI0020 removes the mystery surrounding computers and the ever-growing digital world. It introduces a range of topics including the World Wide Web and many aspects of multimedia, along with the underlying digital technology and its relevance to our society. Other topics include artificial intelligence, IT security, ethics and economics of computing as well as the effects of its pervasiveness in today’s world. Introductory programming and analytic skills are developed through HTML and Python assignments. CSCI0020 is a good introduction to a wide range of CS topics that have broad relevance in our society. No prerequisites.
