TA Waitlist: Shortcuts

There are several commands that can be executed from a shell without going through the menus. They have the exact same functionality as the corresponding menu items.

For TAs

The following commands can have 2 optional arguments:
  • -c [course you TA (ie cs015)]
If this is not supplied as an argument, it will ask you to supply the class when it starts.
  • -u [your TA account]
If this is not supplied, it will use the account you are running the command from. This can be used if you want to use these commands from an account other than your TA account.
  1. /u/tawait/bin/tanext
Equivalent to "Give me another person" from the TA menu. Note that you will have to enter your password each time to use this command.
  2. /u/tawait/bin/takill
Equivalent to "Kill waitlist" from the TA menu.

For students

/u/tawait/bin/tacheck
This will tell you what your position is on the waitlist.

Optional arguments: -u [account]
With no command line arguments, it will automatically check the position for the current user. The "-u" option can be used to check the position of somebody else on the waitlist.
