TA Waitlist: Student Menu
What you see:
Student Menu
1) Add yourself to the waitlist
2) Check your position on the waitlist
3) Update screen now

Note: The student menu running on the terminal near 9a in the Sunlab
is identical except it does not allow students to add themselves.
The Options
- Add yourself to the waitlist
This is how students put themselves on the wailist. This option is
only available on the terminal the waitlist was started on in the TA
room. It is possible for this option to be disabled. This means nobody
else can add themselves to the waitlist. The TA is going off hours
soon, and unfortunately can not help any more people.
- Check your position on the waitlist
This will tell you what number you are on the waitlist. It may be
necessary if there are over 20 people on the waitlist( the maximum
number of people displayed on the screen at once). You can also check
your position from a shell using the shortcut: /u/tawait/bin/tacheck.
- Update screen now
Above the menu, you can see the names and accounts of the people on
the waitlist. This is updated at regular intervals, but can be forced
to update with this command. This only changes the visual display. It
will not make your turn come up any faster.
Quitting the Menu
There is no way to quit the student menu from the terminal it is
running on! It will automatically go away when the TA ends the
waitlist.
