Submitting Work Online
In the past, course TAs have found it convenient to have students hand assignments in by having them copy their files to a location within the course directory. Executables can be run to evaluate the work, and the date on the file indicates if the assignment was completed on time. However, this is a more subtle process than one might suspect, and clever students can easily misrepresent their work or sabotage others' without being detected.To make submissions secure, students should use the handin (/cs/bin/handin) program. It ensures that once a file is submitted by a student, it cannot be viewed or modified in any way by anyone other than the course TAs.
