Some Graduate Programs of Interest
Several computer science faculty members participate in the
multidisciplinary academic programs described below. (The
standard programs are described in the department brochure,
found on the
main grad page).
Brain Science
The
Brain Science
Program at Brown promotes collaborative theoretical and
experimental study of the brain from the molecular to the behavioral
and cognitive level. Brain Science includes over seventy faculty from
ten departments including Computer Science.
Computation and Mathematics of Mind
Computation and
Mathematics of Mind (CMM) is an interdisciplinary graduate student
training program at Brown University focused on information processing
by minds and machines under conditions of uncertainty. This program is
made possible by the National Science Foundation
Integrated Graduate
Education and Research Training (IGERT). Several CS faculty and
graduate students participate in the CMM IGERT program.
