Stefan Roth awarded Joukowsky Family Foundation Outstanding Dissertation Award

May 22 - The department is delighted to announce that Stefan Roth has been awarded the Joukowsky Family Foundation Outstanding Dissertation Award for his thesis entitled "High-Order Markov Random Fields for Low-Level Vision". Out of approximately 150 Ph.D. candidates, four were chosen for the prize, one each in the humanities, the life sciences, the physical sciences, and the social sciences. The award caries a $2,500 honorarium and is given for superior achievements in research.
