What is Artemis?
The Artemis Project is a free, five-week summer day camp for rising 9th grade girls in the Providence area who are interested in learning about science and technology. It is run by four undergraduate women from Brown University in connection with Brown's Computer Science Department. This year's camp will be taking place Monday through Friday from June 29-July 31 on Brown's campus.
Artemis is designed to encourage young women to get involved in the fields of science and technology. The students will learn both concrete computer skills and abstract computer science concepts through a variety of projects and activities in a fun and encouraging environment.
