About

I am a 4th year PhD student in the Computer Science Department at Brown University. My advisor is Prof. John Jannotti.

Before I came to Brown, I got my MS in Computer Science from University of Rhode Island in 2005, working in the Real-Time Distributed Object Computing Group with Prof. Victor Fay-Wolfe and Prof. Lisa DiPippo on Real-Time Data Distribution Middleware and Wireless Sensor Networks.

I got my BS in Electronic Engineering and Information Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 1999, working in the Communication and Electronic System Lab with Prof. Peixia Xu on Image Compression using Wavelet Transformation. I also acquired a Bachelor of Laws from a double major program.

Research

Generally I am interested in all problems related to Wireless Sensor Networks. My current research is focused on efficient data distribution in Visual Sensor Networks (VSNs) which are composed of smart cameras with wireless communication capability.
