A quick guide to the data sets used by the diffusion-tensor visualization project

The goal of this page is to provide researchers with some basic anatomical orientation when looking at the data sets used in the diffusion-tensor visualization project. This should provide a context to interpret images that don't have an anatomical background (e.g. diffusion streamlines), and it should help provide a biological context that will make it easier to discuss the project with biologists.

There are currently two data sets that are being actively used in the project, each of them has been sparsely labeled to help locate critical structures and provide basic orientation.

Mouse embryo data set
Horizontal slices

kela human data set
Coronal slices
