Evolving Visualizations

Themes People Talks Sponsors Links Publications Collaborator's Publications Bibliography

Contrary to the typical trial and error approach, our visualization synthesis techniques position developers and scientists closer to an acceptable visualization by using rules obtained from our experimentation. We use a genetic algorithm to evolve visualizations from randomized visual representations of data to acceptable, in designers and scientisits terms, visual displays.
