S/Key
Each S/Key password is valid only once, so even if anyone captures the password you provide to your telnet program as it traverses the Internet, it is useless to the attacker after you have logged in. In addition, we only permit external telnet programs to connect to our special S/Key server machine, in.cs.brown.edu. These web pages describe how you can initialize a set of one-time S/Key passwords from inside the department for use when you wish to connect from outside.
