Sun Lab Consultant Application

Consultant Applications are due Friday, April 18th

You will recieve a confirmation in a couple of days with instructions for
signing up for interview slots.

Interviews will be held sometime during Monday, April 21st - Thursday, April 24th.

There will be a mandatory training on Saturday, April 26th, 2008.

1. If you have TAing and/or Consulting experience, please describe it.


2. Rank your technical expertise (with respect to the Computer Science Department's UNIX system) on a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 means you have no experience.

3. What CS classes have you taken or are currently taking?


4. Do you use the Sun Lab to do the bulk of your CS work?
If not, where do you usually work?


5. How many hours per week did you spend in the Sun Lab this year?

How many do you expect to spend next year?

How many hours per week would you prefer to consult ? (We will not hold you to this number if you are hired; we just want to get a feel for how much time you would honestly devote to consulting. On average, consultants work about six to eight hours a week.)


6. What other CS Department commitments do you have ?


7. Would you be available to work weekday morning shifts? Shifts start at 9am and could last anywhere from 1-3 hours, depending on your schedule.
