Rules for Battle Royale

Carefully open your envelopes now. Don't let anybody see what you have.

Status Effects:

Immobilized: You are stunned, tied up, or otherwise incapacitated. While immobilized you cannot use abilities, weapons, or move.

Hidden (Arms Crossed): You cannot be seen by other players unless they have an ability that says otherwise.

Seriously Wounded: Basically, you’re about to die. You count as immobilized, but additionally, you cannot be healed.  You can just continue to roleplay for up to another five minutes at which point you die. People may also take whatever items they wish from you.

Death: You’re dead. Leave your items and nametag behind as a body.

Multiple Characters:

Several of your classmates are still asleep from the knockout gas. They’ll come into the “game” when they wake up.

If you die, you can return to the school to get another character.

Impulse Refreshes:

Indulging your base impulses makes you feel better. Once per scene (around five minutes), you can act upon an impulse to gain an HP. You cannot gain more HP than your base in this way.  So, you may want to save any one-time impulses until you’re injured.

Max Items:

You cannot carry more than 4 items unless you have an ability. You cannot wield more than one melee or firearm weapon at a time unless you have an ability. Weapons count as items.

No Boffer Flurries:

You can only score a hit once every three seconds unless you have special ability.

Using One-Use Items:

There are a number of one-use items. After they are used, tear the card in half once to signal that it has been destroyed. As long as you continue to carry the card, it counts as an item towards your max.

Forbidden Zones:

The play area will be getting smaller.  Collars with small explosives have been fitted on each of your necks. If you enter a room with the “Forbidden Zone” tag shown, your collar will explode and kill you. As the game progresses, more rooms will become forbidden zones. You will receive about 30 seconds of warning before a zone becomes forbidden.

Ability Errata:

If you have a “Major” or “Minor” Vendetta Goal, you may feel free to attack the targets of your vendetta.

All drug-like items are one use only and cannot be repaired with duct tape.

BTV:

BTV will potentially be in the building filimg. If a room is marked BTV--Out of Game, it is completely out of game..

A Few Final Things To Remember:

You cannot attack people without an ability to do so.

You cannot pick up items labeled as “ability items” unless you have the relevant ability

Encourage groups.

We encourage you to form groups and work as teams.  But in the end, there will only be one survivor.

We will be gassing this island with a nerve agent after completion of the game. So, even if you find a way to hide, you won’t be able to escape.
