There is an updated page with more concise information you will want after you arrive. It includes a couple things to do after the contest.
This year Brown is one of the sites for the preliminary round of the the Northeast region of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.
BOSPRE 2008 is a cooperative effort between the two host sites (Brown and Tufts), and Harvard, which provides judging and problems.
The contest will be held in the "Sunlab" on the 1st floor of the CIT, which houses Brown's Computer Science department. The department has a page with directions to the CIT, or use Google Maps with the address 115 Waterman St, Providence, RI. There are Amtrak arrivals at 8:49am ($35) and 9:20am ($20). The train station is a 15-20min walk to the CIT. For drivers, parking is not that hard. When very close to the CIT, the street tends to have 2 or 3 hour limits though. You can park in a lot very close to the CIT for $1.50/hr. As you pass the CIT on Waterman, make an immediate right onto Brook. The lot is on your left in 20-30 feet.
The cost for the contest is $75 per team. Checks should be payable to Brown University Computer Science

Should any problems arise, or you would like to ask some questions, please call me (jj) at (617) 642-2151. I will be nearby and available on this number throughout the day. I should be able to ensure wireless network access for the coaches during the contest.
Coaches may want to know where to find other food throughout the day, or teams may want to get an early dinner before leaving. Your best and closest bets are on Thayer St, which is about 100 ft from the building the contest is in. Besides a few sit-down restaurants, Thayer St has four pizza joints (Antonio's and Nice Slice are recommended over Pizza Express), two Mexican places (it's worth it to pass Gordito Burrito for Bagel Gourmet Ole), two Kabob-ish places, a great sandwich place in the Meeting St Cafe (expect big sandwiches), Chinese, Indian, Au Bon Pain, Starbuck's, and Tealuxe. There's also a Subway, a Sushi Shop, and a Thai place on Waterman, before you even get to Thayer. You should be able to eat!
