I am currently a third year PhD in Computer Science at Brown University, RI, USA. I finished my undergraduate studies at the Polytechnic University in Timisoara, Romania, in 2005 and received my Masters degree from Brown in 2007.

My interests are in Information and Scientific Visualization and I am working with professor David Laidlaw on visual analysis of biological pathways. I am part of the Scientific Visualization Lab in the Computer Science Department at Brown University.

My main extracurricular activity is cycling. I am part of the Brown Cycling Club and compete in collegiate races. I also like hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities.

I've been married to Doria since July 2006.
