The Java Plugin 1.2 is already installed on the system. To get it working in netscape, just set the following environment variable, and copy the properties file to your .java directory. If you already have a properties file, just rename it and the last line lets you easily swap files.

setenv NPX_PLUGIN_PATH /pro/java/software/plugin/SUNWj2pi-j3d1.2/NSCPcom/plugins:/u/YOURLOGIN/.netscape/plugins

mkdir ~/.java

cp /u/jrl/.java/properties-j3d1.2 ~/.java

ln -s /u/YOURLOGIN/.java/properties-j3d1.2 /u/YOURLOGIN/.java/properties
