Description
A continuation of CSCI0170. Students learn to program in Java while continuing to develop their algorithmic and analytic skills. Object-oriented design of programs is a principal focus. Examples are drawn from such areas as language processing, arbitrary-precision arithmetic, strategy games, databases, discrete-event simulation, window managers, web client/server, route-finding, and data compression. Lab work done with the assistance of TAs. Prerequisite: CSCI0170.
